At Seren Steps, we believe every child deserves a home where they feel safe, valued and genuinely cared about. We are a not-for-profit organisation, which means every penny we earn goes back into the young people we look after and the team who supports them. We provide therapeutic residential care for children and young people aged 10 to 18 with diverse needs, including trauma, autism and other neurodevelopmental differences, creating homes where they can feel settled, understood and hopeful again. We are small on purpose. Two beds means real relationships, real consistency, and a team who actually know the young people they support. As a Residential Support Worker you will be one of the steady, trusted adults in a young person's life. Some days you will be doing the school run and cooking tea. Other days you will be sitting with a young person through a tough moment, or celebrating a small win that feels huge to them. No two days are the same, but every day matters. This is a job where your kindness, patience and sense of humour matter as much as anything you will learn in training. It is challenging, yes, but also one of the most rewarding things you will ever do.
