Bank / Relief Worker, Children's Residential Home

Looking for flexible shifts that fit around your life? We are building a bank of reliable relief workers to cover holidays, sickness, training days, and rota gaps. You'll provide the same high-quality, therapeutic care as our permanent team, supporting young people aged 10 to 18. Every shift you work makes a real difference.

• Provide direct care and supervision in line with individual care plans
• Support children with daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing
• Follow behaviour management strategies using de-escalation approaches
• Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports
• Attend to sleep-in or waking night duties as required
• Participate in handover at the start and end of each shift
• Comply with all Seren Steps policies, CIW regulations, and Social Care Wales Code

• EssentialAged 22 or over
• EssentialRight to work in the UK
• EssentialSome experience working with children or young people
• EssentialFull UK driving licence
• EssentialWilling to register with Social Care Wales within 6 months
• DesirableLevel 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development (Social Care Pathway) or equivalent
• DesirablePrevious experience in residential childcare
